Muwall
E-commerce site and brand refresh
MUWALL is a modular wall storage system made by Mukako, an Italian children’s furniture design company. The primary problem they had was the lack of an e–commerce site or page for the Muwall product on their website and a secondary problem was not giving their extensive product much visibility. After several rounds of prototyping and user testing, working on a team with Abigail Teets and Alexandra Glasgow, we analyzed Muwall and its storage system and created a system of buying that mirrored the product structure as well as giving it its own brand and identity. The mark is a visual combination of the pegboard-style wall panels and one of the shelf accessories. We used the pre–existing color palette but punched up the colors to make it more vibrant, fresh, and inviting.
This new process broke down the purchase into step-by-step levels that was easier to understand for the customer. We organized and curated the storage system of wall panels and wall accessories into room bundles by size and theme. Most easily visualized in the mobile version, it goes question by question, until you have the system that fits your life and home. You begin with choosing the age range of your children, choosing your room size, choosing a panel amount that corresponds to the room size, choosing a finish, and finally choosing a room bundle that tailored for you before heading to the payment page. Afterwards you are taken to a confirmation page that includes tools to prepare yourself to install the storage system.
